SEVEN members of the York Valkyrie squad will take part in a regional training squad ahead of an upcoming Origin fixture.

England Rugby League Women’s Head Coach Stuart Barrow has confirmed squads of 18 players representing both Yorkshire and Lancashire, with an Origin fixture set to take place on Saturday, October 19 (2pm) at Boundary Park, with free entry available to supporters.

Six of the Valkyrie squad have been called up to represent Yorkshire, with Savannah Andrade, Jasmine Bell, Lacey Owen, Tazmin Renouf, Jess Sharp and Liv Wood all together for the fixture.

Also included in the Yorkshire squad is former York star Hollie-Mae Dodd, who now represents Canberra Raiders at club level, whilst the rest of the squad is made up of players from Leeds Rhinos, Huddersfield Giants and St Helens.

One member of the York squad will play for the Lancashire 18, with Eboni Partington separated from her Valkyrie teammates.

The remainder of the Lancashire squad is filled by players from Wigan Warriors and St Helens.

England Women have also confirmed that a fixture with Wales will take place on November 2 (12pm) as part of a double-header with England Mens’ match with Samoa.
