Attention this week turned to the singles Knockout competitions with 113 entry’s entered in to this year’s competition.
The pick of the ties saw reigning champion Si Newby from the Clockhouse defeat John Austwick from Burton Stone WMC in a 4-2 victory.
Kristian Strangeway from Huntington WMC visited the Dick Turpin and in a closely contested match, Kristian came away with an impressive 4-1 win.
At the Clockhouse Craig Fox defeated Hospital Clubs Phil Curran 4-0.
Paul Thomas won 4-1 against Stuart Walker from the Hoggs Head and Kieran Watson defeated Ben Wozniak from New Earswick 4-1.
Huntington WMC saw the pick of the ties with Keith Thornton going out in the first round with Rob Barron winning 4-2 and Cliff Dalton also went through to the next round with a win against Alice Paylor 4-1 .
At Bishopthorpe, Si Morris defeated Lawrence Streets Sophie Coombes 4-0, Jimmy Lee won 4-2 defeating Ian Hudson from the Bay Horse Stamford Bridge.
The Eddy Arms’ pick of the matches saw Lewis Ramsey defeat Craig Winn from the Saddle 4-0, Martin Witcombe visited the Eddy Arms and won against Billy Mccay 4-1.
At the Lighthorseman Paul Maude defeated Tony Shep from the clockhouse 4-2 and James Medley also defeated Daniel Witcombe 4-2.
