Selby Town put in a superb performance at second-placed Dearne and District on Saturday with a great 3 -1 win in the Northern Counties East League.
Despite going a goal down in the first few minutes, Selby battled back before half-time with goals from Liam Love and Finlay Wade.
The game was sealed in the second-half with a great individual goal from Caden McGrath.
Town made two changes from the team that previously played Brigg Town, with popular former player Ryan Gothard, signed from Knaresborough Town, replacing the injured Charlie Petch. Ned Dry replaced the unavailable Sam Calvert up front.
The Robins seemed disjointed at the back at the start of the game and Jake Phillips should have put the home side ahead in the first seconds when a ball from left to right found him with only Liam Wilson to beat, but he screwed his shot wide of the post.
Five minutes later a similar ball found the same player and he made no mistake this time to put Dearne in the lead.
The home side were looking for a second goal, but at the other end Dry could not quite get a shot away when well placed.
Love got Town level on 23 minutes when he controlled a cross from the right and he beat George Bristol in the home goal from six yards.

Dearne were playing well and a ball in from their left was deflected for a corner via a combination of a defender, and a hand of Wilson.
Town took the lead on 35 minutes when Selby man of the match James Danby fired a shot at goal from 20 yards. Bristol fumbled it to Wade who notched it home for his first goal for the first team.
The half ended on a sour note with a clash between Dan Davison and Dearne player Justin Circuit. Davison received a yellow card but Circuit was sent off.
The Robins' defence were once again under pressure at the beginning of the second-half but they coped well and indeed an Alex Marsh lobbed ball caused Bristol problems with the ball just about fumbled away.
Danby teed Dry up at the far post but he could not control the ball.
However, the loose ball was played out to McGrath on the half-way line and he forged forwards, leaving three or four Dearne players in his wake, before slotting the ball past Bristol to basically seal the points.
Selby were looking for a fourth now. Dry saw a shot deflected for a corner. Harry Clapham fired in a cross that somehow bypassed three Town players in the six-yard area. Bristol palmed a fierce Clapham shot for a corner.
Jack Bull also saw a header saved on the line by Bristol before the game came to an end just before a number of Town substitutions.
Another great result for Selby in front of a healthy crowd, including 40 or 50 from Selby.
SELBY TOWN: Wilson, Mcgrath, Love, Marsh, Gothard, Bull, Danby, Davison, (Racher), Clapham, Dry, (Charlton), Wade, (Greening).
Unused subs: Petch, Adams.
