YORK City’s Levi Andoh has joined Vanarama National League South side Truro City on loan until January.

It is the full-back’s second loan of the season, having earlier linked up with former Minstermen boss Steve Watson at Darlington in August to build up his match fitness after a serious back injury.

He made five Vanarama National League North appearances during his initial one-month loan, keeping four clean sheets, before returning to City in September.

At a press conference earlier this week, boss Adam Hinshelwood hinted that Andoh would again leave the club on loan to get more minutes under his belt, with competition for places high at his Vanarama National League table-toppers.

The Dutch defender, who signed for York last summer, has seen his time at the club blighted by injury.

He played every minute of their first four league fixtures but was ruled out for the rest of the season after fracturing his spine during their 1-1 draw against Aldershot Town at the end of August.

In an exclusive interview with The Press, the 24-year-old labelled his time on the sidelines as the most difficult year of his life, explaining “even if I only get minutes every now and then, I’m just so happy to be back.”

Truro, led by City promotion-winning manager John Askey, currently sit second in the table, three points behind leaders Weston-Super-Mare but having played one extra game.

Andoh could be in line to make his debut against Torquay tomorrow.
