TADCASTER Albion have confirmed the return of 25-goal Oli Norman.

Norman, aged 21, has re-joined Tadcaster having initially departed the club in the Summer for a move up the footballing pyramid to Bradford (Park Avenue).

The attacker was a key part of Mick O'Connell's side during the 2023/24 season, as Tadcaster fell just short of the Northern Counties Eastern League premier division play-offs with Norman netting 25 goals for the Brewers.

Norman had a brief stint with Bradford, who started their season in the Northern Premier League East Division poorly, which resulted in the departure of manager Danny Whittaker.

Craig Elliott was announced as Whittaker's replacement, with Norman since finding game time limited in West Yorkshire.

Norman has not appeared in any of Park Avenue's last five matchday squads, and not gaining minutes in over a month of football.

The attacker re-unites with O'Connell having initially played under the Brewers boss during a stint at Harrogate Railway, having come through the academy at Bradford City.

Norman has since returned to Tadcaster, who have struggled so far this season in the ninth tier.

Albion currently find themselves in 17th position of the NCEL, just two places above the relegation zone and with 19 points from a possible 57.

The Brewers will be hoping that Norman can change their fortunes after a rather inconsistent run of form, which included a 5-3 defeat to Bottesford Town last Saturday.

"He was a big part of our good form at the back end of last season and adds real quality to our squad.

"I know what we get with Oli as I have worked with him for a few years now, and he's a player I really trust.

"He is an exciting player who will bring goals to the team, not only that he defends from the font.

"We are really happy to bring Oli back to the club, he had a lot of offers but Oli knows us and knows we trust him.

"I believe that gets the best out of a player like Oli."

Norman could make his first Tadcaster appearance since his return on Saturday, November 23 for a visit to Beverley Town (3pm).
