YORK City will hand trials to Ipswich Town teenager Jai Reason and former Boston United full-back Tom Hurst during tonight’s reserve game with Grimsby Town at KitKat Crescent.
Midfielder Reason, 18, is a first-year professional at Portman Road yet to break into the senior squad, while 20-year-old right-back Hurst is a free agent having spent the last two years with Hull City and Rotherham United.
He was released by the Millers in the summer due to financial reasons and has since been training with home-town club Leicester City.
Steven Hogg, pictured, will also return for City after thigh problems and suffering shingles.
Defender Darren Kelly plays as well, despite missing Saturday’s trip to Kettering because of a back spasm.
Kick off is 7pm.
City reserves: Mimms, Hurst, Kelly, Radcliffe, McWilliams, Farrell, Reason, Hogg, Shepherd, Dominic Brown, Boyes. Subs: Emmerson, Knowlson, MacDonald, Callum Brown, Burns.
