YORK City reserves were well beaten by a Hartlepool side who made the most of their chances at KitKat Crescent yesterday.
Although a young City side was never totally outclassed, they failed to make many inroads and Hartlepool capitalised on their opportunities to post a 5-1 win.
Highlights for City were Craig Farrell’s 41st-minute goal and a strong performance from Leeds United trialist Ollie Hotchkiss in midfield.
York City: Mimms, Burns (Duckworth 63), C Brown (Lisles 60), Rusk, Woodall, Radcliffe, Emmerson, Hotchkiss, Wetherald, Farrell (Parker 54), Shepherd.
Subs not used: McDonald, Thompson.
