Noble Storm, winner of his last two races and most recently successful at York’s Ebor Festival, can complete a hat-trick in tomorrow’s featured sprinting test at Beverley.

A prize fund of £40,000 is up for grabs in the totesport.com Beverley Bullet and Noble Storm is napped to hit the bullseye for trainer Ed McMahon and Ryedale jockey Graham Gibbons.

A winner over this course and distance earlier in the summer, Noble Storm has not looked back since and last week’s success on Knavesmire in a competitive handicap stamped him as a horse firmly on the upgrade.

He does, of course, step up into Listed company tomorrow, but he has the vital advantage of a plum draw near the inside rail and he is expected to take plenty of catching.

The £40,000 totesportcasino.com Heritage Handicap, the joint highlight at Beverley, has attracted a useful field.

Goliaths Boy should go well for Richard Fahey and Paul Hanagan. The three-year-old has run good races on his last two starts after a mid-summer break, and went down narrowly in a blanket finish at Chester last week, after another slender defeat at Haydock. He should make a bold bid under his light weight.

John Quinn has his horses in good form and it would come as no surprise to see the Highfield trainer complete a double.

Quinn saddles Dig Deep (2.30), who won at Chepstow last week, and Speedy Senorita (4.10), a winner a fortnight ago.

At Goodwood, the £100,000 totesport.com Celebration Mile takes pride of place as the day’s outstanding highlight and Delegator, the mount of Frankie Dettori, will be a popular choice.

This high-class colt, narrowly beaten by Sea The Stars in the 2,000 Guineas, just found Mastercraftsman his superior by a neck in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on his latest start.

If he can reproduce that level of performance tomorrow then he will surely take the world of beating.

His main threat could come from Zacinto, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, who has won this race five times in the last nine years.

Zacinto, a winner here last month on his belated seasonal reappearance, is a potentially high-class horse. He has something to find to trouble Delegator, but it would be no real surprise to see him producing a career-best display.

Frankie Dettori can also win the Prestige Stakes aboard Siyaadah, likewise trained for Godolphin by Saeed bin Suroor.
