YORK City will be hoping for a truckload of support at Wembley tomorrow and club sponsor Simon Morris will be cheering the team on after spreading the Minstermen gospel all season.
Morris, who owns a Dunnington-based transport company, has been travelling across the country and Europe this season with a City badge proudly emblazoned on the back of his van.
People from Belgium, France and Holland have all shown an interest during the vehicle’s overseas trips and Morris is hoping the players can now put the club firmly back on the football map with a victory over Oxford United in the Blue Square Premier play-off final.
He said: “The response from the public has been great and lots of people have wished City well for the season. I'm really pleased to have been able to promote my local team and hope that they can win the play-offs, have a great day at Wembley and get promoted.”
