York City supporters can meet the club’s players during a Yorkshire Family Fun Day at Bootham Crescent on Sunday, August 1.

The date has been chosen to coincide with Yorkshire Day and will see the club’s gates opened to the public from 11am to 4pm.

Admission is free with attractions including a penalty shoot-out competition, bouncy castle, ice creams, stalls, tombolas, raffles, quizzes and side show games, as well as community police and fire service vehicles.

Behind-the-scenes tours will be conducted, while club mascot Yorkie will be in attendance to entertain the club’s younger fans.

The Pitchside Bar, meanwhile, will be open and the youth team apprentices’ parents will be fundraising in the Family Room with warm refreshments and a tuck shop.

A unique initiative will also see the Keith Walwyn Lounge stage full match day style hospitality catering with guest appearances from players.

Tickets must be booked through York City in the Community in advance for the hospitality package and cost £20 per adult and £15 for children.
