THERE is still time to enter our Young Photographer of the Year competition.
The Press, York City Football Club and local employer CPP have teamed up to launch a new competition to find a budding sports photographer in the York area.
The competition is run by the York City in the Community programme and is open to children between the ages of 11 and 16.
All entrants will have the opportunity to receive a complimentary match ticket for one of City’s home games during October and will be asked to provide a 5in x 7in hard copy photograph taken at the game.
The photographs will then be reviewed by the judging panel and a winner will be chosen.
The winner will receive a camera courtesy of CPP, plus the chance to attend York City’s home fixture with Wrexham on Saturday, November 13, where they will join a photographer from The Press pitchside and get some first-hand tips. The winner’s photograph and a story of their day will then appear in The Press.
To enter our Sports Photographer of the Year competition and to receive your free match ticket, complete the coupon and send it to: Young Sports Photographer of the Year 2010 Competition, York City in the Community, Bootham Crescent, York YO30 7AQ, before Wednesday, October 13.
