THE odds of York City pulling off a huge FA Cup shock have narrowed slightly given opponents Bolton Wanderers’ current shortage of numbers.
The Trotters, whose Matt Taylor is on the ball, had only 19 fully-fit first-teamers available for their Barclays Premier League victory over West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day.
And they had also lost South Korea winger Lee Chung-yong to the Asia Cup ahead of their trip to champions Chelsea today.
Defender Gretar Steinsson is also doubtful with a knee injury, while Israeli midfielder Tamir Cohen remains on compassionate leave. Cohen’s father, former Liverpool favourite Avi Cohen, died yesterday, aged 54, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Joey O’Brien, Sean Davis, Ricardo Gardner and Jlloyd Samuel are all still sidelined.
The Minstermen go to the Reebok Stadium on Saturday, January 8.
