Dave Batters
CLUB historian Dave Batters has retired as York Hospital Radio’s Bootham Crescent match day commentator.
Batters has been the man behind the mic for the last 34 years, keeping hospital patients informed of all the action from York City home games since 1977.
A celebratory evening to mark his retirement was held in the club’s Keith Walwyn Suite with former players Graeme Crawford, Chris Jones and Gordon Staniforth among those in attendance.
