YORK City have added a friendly at Quorn on Saturday, July 16, to their pre-season programme.
The game against the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League first division south side has been arranged as part of a Rutland training camp that has been organised by Minstermen chief Gary Mills.
Details of further fixtures during City’s five-day break are also due to be confirmed shortly.
The current list of friendlies is: Friday, July 8 – Tadcaster Albion (A); Monday, July 11 – Garforth Town (A); Wednesday, July 13 – Sunderland (H); Saturday, July 16: Quorn (A); Saturday, July 30 – Hartlepool (H); Saturday, August 6 – Bolton (H).
City have also revealed that just under 1,000 season tickets have been sold for the new Blue Square Bet Premier campaign.
A total of 959 have been snapped up with the next deadline for discounted prices on July 8.
The figure is an improvement on the 881 sold at this stage last summer after City had just reached the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off final.
Manager Mills, meanwhile, remains hopeful of adding two more “significant” signings to his squad by the end of the week.
