Ex-York City goalkeeper David Stockdale has completed a season-long loan move to Championship club Ipswich, writes Henry Cowen.
The 25-year-old had been the target of some speculation with Fulham reportedly rejecting an offer of £2 million from Swansea and Leeds, the club Stockdale supported as a boy, also attempting to secure his services.
Paul Jewell won the race for his signature and Stockdale said: “I had a great talk with the gaffer here and Ipswich Town is a big club so I was eager to come here.”
The ex-Minsterman featured on eight occasions in the Premier League for Fulham last season.
