Dunnington’s Jack Bolam (67no) and Simon Dwyer (48no) led their side to a crushing ten-wicket victory over Wheldrake in Foss Evening Cricket League division one. Despite Wheldrake setting 118, with Mike Smales top-scoring on 69, the Dunnington openers chased down their target with 17 balls to spare.

Heworth lead the division, extending their 100 per cent start with an eight-wicket win over Stamford Bridge. Trev Walton’s 3-26 restricted Stamford to 127-7 after Danny Hagen (36) and Max Pimlott (27) had given them a good start. Yorkshire Academy’s Jack Leaning (59no) and Mark Dobson (34no) led the Elm Park Way side to victory.

Woodhouse Grange are second after a tight four-wicket win with only two balls to spare against Barmby Moor. Sean Houltham (44) saw Moor to 92-6, with David Suddaby and Matt Shepherd taking two wickets each. James Rudd’s 34 saw Woodhouse home.

Yapham took over leadership of division two after inflicting Pocklington’s first defeat.

Pock were bowled out for 55, with Ben Brown taking 3-7. Martin Pearson (31no) and Alex Gurnell (27no) then chased down the total in just nine overs.

Londesborough Park also completed an easy nine-wicket victory over Heworth Colts. The Colts were bowled out for 79 as Darren Moody (4-3) and Tom Williamson (3-17) cut through their batting line-up. Tom Allan’s 32 was the lone resistance. Mike Drewery (39no) and James Beevers (25) raced Park to their target in nine overs.

The Retreat’s Gareth Fenton (54) continued his sparkling form, with a third half-century in four weeks, combining with Salman Syed (46) to post 125-4 at Melbourne.

Home skipper Eddie Oliver (61) again top-scored for his side but could not prevent them finishing 15 runs short at 110-6.

There was a shock defeat for previously unbeaten Stockton & Hopgrove against Fulfordgate in division three. Fulfordgate posted 99-3 with Mick Nelson making 24. Steve Sissons then gutted the Stockton batting with 4-15 as they struggled to 75-9.

Westow made the most of Stockton’s defeat to move top of the division as Matty Turnbull’s 54 allowed them to post 145-3 at Thixendale. Thixendale then folded for 83 as Westow’s Boyd followed his 29 with 3-21.
