Crayke won a hard-fought Pilmoor Evening Cricket League first division tie at Newburgh.
Jamie Perkins with 26, Peter Carr (36) and Will Bartlett (29), did most to take Crayke to 118-5, David Taylor returning 2-31.
When Newburgh replied, Bartlett (2-22), Perkins (2-23) and Ian Pocklington (2-25) nagged away. Although the long-serving Tony Fox top-scored with 21, the hosts closed on 102-9.
Sheriff Hutton Bridge took their first points this season when they beat Acomb.
Bridge reached 146-6 in which Phil Stothard made 41, Jack Hugill 27, David Phillips 27 and Brendan Ledgeway 28. Neil Hinde had the best return of 3-47.
Acomb closed on 87-8, Jamie Hopper claiming 2-19 and George Wainwright 2-11.
In the second division, Helperby recorded the season’s highest score, amassing 179-4 at Alne led by Dan Spink (50 ret) and James Hardy (53 ret). Alne were all out for 104.
