REIGNING champions Woodhouse Grange saw off one of their potential challengers when they beat Dunnington by seven wickets in the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League premier division.
Effective bowling by Steve Burdett (3-35) and Tom Quinn (3-20) pegged visitors Dunnington to 148-9, with Jack Bolam’s 36 the top score.
Andy Anderson (48) and Tom Young (76no) added 115 for the third wicket en route to victory.
Selby’s batting was brittle as they were bowled out for 76 chasing hosts Studley Royal’s 150-8.
Selby skipper Gareth Roberts took 4-41, but Matt Pickles made 35 for Studley. Lee Wild hit 30 for Selby.
Sheriff Hutton Bridge had the better of a tight draw at Stamford Bridge. Paul Oldfield (46) and Rob Pinder (47) helped Sheriff to 216-6.
Dominic Rhodes (80) and Matt Beckett (57) starred in Stamford’s 206-8.
Stephen Piercy took 5-50 on his return to the Easingwold ranks in a six-wicket win over Clifton Alliance.
Adam Slater struck an unbeaten 86 in Alliance’s 172-6. Mark Mierzwinski (65no) and skipper Martin Piercy (62) led the reply.
Faisal Abid hit 102 as he and Ollie Grantham (41) posted a first-wicket partnership of 130 to put Beverley on course for a successful chase after York II had made 205-8.
Simon Lambert top-scored for York with 49 as Jamie Roe took 5-43. After the break, Jake Murphy took 4-53 for York, but Beverley won at 208-5.
Sewerby beat fellow newcomers Acomb by five wickets. Matt Dale’s 45 helped Acomb to 151-7, but Sewerby won it in the 38th over.
