Easingwold recorded the fastest-ever victory in the Hunters York Senior League Premier Cup when they took just 45 deliveries to overtake Sheriff Hutton Bridge's paltry total of 52.

First division side Bridge, with only three regular first-teamers in the line-up, were no match for the premier division leaders.

Only Danny Kiernan offered any semblance of batting aptitude. But Jason Sergeant grabbed 4-13, while speedster James Bryant recorded 3-6 ending the Bridge's innings by bowling Kiernan for 22.

Easingwold openers Martin Piercy and Jonathon Marwood each raced to 27no in a ten-wicket win.

Sessay followed their National Village win over Cayton by pipping Acomb by 14 runs. Mark Wilkie (63) and Chris Till (36) shone in a total of 210-6 against Scott Nicholls (3-51).

In reply, Matt Dickinson hit 80 and Richard Sykes 42 but Acomb's response fell short at 196-8.

Having been just seven runs short of a record batting aggregate last year, Woodhouse Grange opener Nick Hadfield made a fine start to the new campaign with 105 at Hull Zingari. John Bean added 44 out of 189-5.

In reply, Danny Salpietro made 38, Anthony Knowles 39 and Danny Scarr 33 but Brad Winger and Paul Grewer each took two wickets to peg the Hull total to 170-5.

Pickering, bottom of the premier division, pulled off a two-wicket win over Beverley Town with 15 balls to spare. Chris Nicholls' unbeaten 35 saw Pickering to their victory target of 128 despite Simon Roe (4-14) and teenager Paul Groves (3-27).

Carlton Towers fell from 34-0 to 117 all out against Clifton Alliance as John Hunter claimed 3-17. Nathan Briggs (32) and Chris Malthouse (27) eased Clifton to a seven-wicket win.

Hamed Khan hit an unbeaten 96 as Dunnington beat Heworth by eight wickets. Mike Taylor had made 28 for the visitors but the threat of Kashif Mahmood (3-51) and Dave Kitching (3-22) had Heworth all out for 144.

Australian Dan Davies (128no) was the architect of Malton's 44-run victory at Osbaldwick. Neil Johnson (40) and Gary Hall (28) also contributed against Syran Joshi (3-57). Another Aussie, Gino Raso (77), led Osbaldwick's reply, but George Cooper's 3-34 left Osbaldwick at 188-9.

A stunning innings from Skikar Dhawan took Stamford Bridge to a seven-wicket win at Thirsk.

The Indian claimed 3-26 with his off-spin as he and Josh Room (3-25) bowled Thirsk out for 136, despite good scores from youngsters Neil Laidlaw (50) and Liam Mckendry (40), and then dispatched the highly-rated attack of Dave Towse and Barry Petty by racing to 95 not out.
