Malton’s Shane Bonser had a wonderful day at the expense of Rowntrees in division four of the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League.
Bonser followed his 104 runs with 4-23 to inflict a 131-run defeat on the struggling Mille Cruxers. Paul Horner made 59 for the losers.
Hornsea’s Iain Wilson captured four wickets in four balls to topple Osbaldwick 27 runs short of their target.
Stuart Hall made 57 for the losers, but Wilson earned figures of 5-51.
There were half-centuries for Nadeem Siddique (55) and Tim Outram (53no) as Heworth beat Thirsk by 34 runs, while Gary Milner’s unbeaten 63 enabled Pocklington to defeat Sheriff Hutton by five wickets.
Having played just two games for Sheriff Hutton Bridge after moving from Huby, Andrew Ball switched to Easingwold and recorded his highest score with a debut 80 against Dunnington. Facing a target of 238-9, Dunnington fell away to 123 all out as Tom Langstaffe grabbed 6-42.
John Winfield took 3-46 and then made 102 not out, but Stamford Bridge were still unable to beat Woodhouse Grange when their 216-3 fell short of Grange’s 239-5, which included 78 by Stuart Craven.
