CRICKET in Dunnington has been boosted by a three-year sponsorship deal.
York & District Senior League high-fliers Dunnington Cricket Club are planning for a successful future with the help of backing from York law firm Pryers.
The club recently drew up a long-term strategy epitomised by the formation of an academy for young players.
With first-team stars including West Indies great Collis King and St Kitts batsman Harwood Williams, Dunnington boast talented players for youngsters to learn from.
Club chairman Graham Freer said: “Clinching the deal with Pryers is fantastic news from the club. The support the company brings means we can focus on development rather than simply keeping the books in the black.”
Ian Pryer, of Pryers, who has supported the club for the past ten years, said: “I’ve been particularly impressed with the positive work they’ve been doing bringing youngsters into the game.”
