YAPHAM produced a shock eight-wicket win to remove Hull Zingari from the top of division 4A.
The Hull side made 175-3 and Yapham bagged their first win in style thanks to Geoff Room (85no) and Martin Pearson (71no), who joined forces in an unbroken third-wicket stand of 151.
Goole Town gained a two-wicket win over Stamford Bridge to go top.
Ian Fraser made 29 and Martin Woodliffe 27 for Bridge but they were all out for 150. Graham Tipping took 4-22 to reduce Goole to 79-6, only for them to win at 152-8.
Woodhouse Grange bowler Chris Pitts took 5-30 at Driffield, but his team-mates batted to a draw.
Driffield’s Mark Goddard made 41 in a seemingly below par 152-6, but Woodhouse were pegged to 134-8 despite 43 from Paul Grewer.
Peter Machin made 57 not out as Osbaldwick moved to 174-9 against Castleford, who galloped to a nine-wicket victory in 31.3 overs.
In division 4B, Pickering’s batsmen rattled up 288-4 against Dunnington, with Jack Thackray hitting 77 not out. Steve Smith (51), Eddie Cass (48) and Ryan Boyes (39no) were in support.
Smith (5-16) and Charlie Marwood (3-34) then whipped out the home side for only 112.
Rowntrees gained a good win at Easingwold which boosted their chances of avoiding relegation.
Home batsman Eric Watson made 52, while young pace bowler Chris Gartland claimed 4-30.
Rowntrees’ successful reply rested with Sean Marshall (59) and Paul Horner (42). Charles Ramsey took 3-45 but Rowntrees won at 180-8.
Tony Linsley took 4-25 and then scored 51 to help Malton & Old Malton to a four-wicket victory at Heworth. Tim Peat hit 57 for the home side as they made 136. Lester Parkin made 33 in Malton’s 138-6.
Sheriff Hutton Bridge were given a fine start by openers Dave Ellis (80) and Danny Kiernan (79) at Huby.
Eddie Hull chipped in with 44 as Bridge made 248-4.
Huby’s Mike Mzerwinski made 46 and Dan Grainger added 53 to figures of 3-55, but spinner Jerry Clough took 4-17 as they were 181 all out.
Jamie Howe (4-19 and 56) ploughed a lone furrow for Thirsk in a 42-run defeat to leaders Acomb.
Acomb were all out for 149, with Andy Ingle making 39, and Thirsk were toppled for 107 by James Byford (4-30) and Neil Hinde (3-15).
