Tom Atkinson performed heroics to earn Bolton Percy a 57-run win when they entertained Tadcaster Magnet in a division two derby.

Visiting Paul Downey had the hosts in some disarray with 6-39 in 17 overs but Atkinson cracked 67 to boost the Bolton score to 172.

Ed Day then hit 42 for the Brewers, but Atkinson (3-25) and Danny White (3-23) bowled Magnet out for 115 in 38.2 overs.

Sewerby moved into the top two when they recorded a six-wicket win at Osbaldwick, who were bowled out for 170.

Andy Hall followed his big three-figure score of the previous week with 71, but Lewis Beasley held sway with 6-38.

He then followed with 33, but it was Chris Chapman’s unbeaten 69 that saw Sewerby home for the loss of four wickets.

Dringhouses suffered their third defeat when they were soundly beaten at home by 91 runs by Ripon.

Three Ripon batsmen hit half-centuries in a total of 251-8. Tom Leeming led the way with 88, Matt Morton made 51 and Peter Squires was unbeaten with 57.

Ian Wilson hit 76 for ’Houses but Chris Warters turned in figures of 4-21 to dismiss Dringy for 160.

Malton & Old Malton’s 100 per cent record ended when they fell agonisingly short of the target of 181-4 set by York III in a 44-over game.

Toby Cleminson hit 68, Kev Waites 29 and Simon Jones 35 in a York team effort.

Malton’s reply revolved around skipper Steve Linsley, who made an unbeaten 82, but they closed on 177-8, five runs short of victory.
