Brian Leckenby hit his second century of the season and his 21st three-figure York Senior League score when he took an unbeaten 117 of the visiting New Earswick attack in division three.
He was partnered in a 128 first-wicket stand by Phil Marwood and an even better second-wicket axis of 136 with Peter Humpleby (80) as leaders Duncombe Park hit 286-3.
Earswick’s openers allayed fears of a defeat by moving to 86 with Stuart Masheder making 34 and Phil Coull 38. The safety-first approach was maintained by Andy Routledge who reached 46no as Earswick drew at 152-3.
Woodhouse Grange took over at the head of division four when winning by six wickets at Acomb. Paul Hemingway hit 56 and Andy Ingle 25 in a home score of 186-9 with veteran Grange bowler Russ Bilton capturing 5-37. James Hopwood made an early 40 for Woodhouse before Matt Shepherd (32no) and ex-Osbaldwick player Alex Horner (55no) saw Grange home.
Fenner’s’ G Williamson hit a decisive 94 to help his side win by seven wickets at Heworth, who find themselves in similar propping-up territory to their senior side. Heworth had been steered to 155-8 by C Bradshaw (41), Paul Neal (30) and Dave Ellwood (25). G Souter took 4-45 for the eventual victors.
Stillington’s batsmen fared well when they took first innings at home to Easingwold.
Carl Simpson led the way with an unbeaten 94, while Oliver Everard (32) and Tim Jarvis (31) advanced the score to 207-3.
Wayne Linton then took 3-30 as Easingwold responded with 136-7, including 33 from Shazad Kazi and 41 by Rob Harrison.
