Rain had the final word at Pocklington when the second innings was prematurely ended after 41 overs at which point bottom-placed Dringhouses had made 180-4 in reply to the hosts’ 224-6. Each side took 12 points.
There were home half-centuries by Ted Donkin (50) and Neil Jackson (66) with handy input from Matt Atkinson (26) and Alex Downey (25no). Their combined efforts enabled Pocklington to post a good target despite 3-68 by Mick Kenyon. His son Andy followed with 40 and Ian Wilson made 38. Chris Evans was poised on 49no when the rain came.
Bolton Percy gained a comfortable five-wicket win at Ripon.
Chris Warters hit 56no in a below-par Ripon score of 142, which was prematurely terminated when Ali Rigby grabbed four wickets for four runs. Percy’s reply of 144-5 came via Matt Westwood (40) and new county councillor Richard Musgrave, who made 26.
