Seasoned campaigners John Rossington and Henry Houseman, with scores of 73 and 46 respectively, set up a division seven advantage draw for Bolton Percy over Carlton Towers.
Richard Knapp replied with 85no and Tim Clayton made 33 but despite this Carlton were only able to reach 165-5 – short of Bolton’s earlier 178-6.
The day’s biggest win saw Civil Service beat bottom placed Cawood by 197 runs.
Within Service’s 252-7 there were productive innings from Rich Garside (59), Peter Noble (39) and Ben Dodds (47no). Cawood were parcelled up for 55 as Rob Harris took three wickets for just one run and James Woodall 3-11.
Sheriff Hutton lead the section by 17 points after crushing Drax by 171 runs. Sheriff totalled 233-7 with Rich Ainley making 67, Ja Gopal 34, Jag Gopuloppa 43 and Chris Tetley 34. Chris Calvert’s 3-32 for Drax was totally eclipsed by veteran Mick Bradley, whose 6-29 in 11.4 overs shot out Drax for just 62.
