Huntington maintained their 100 division five record, albeit after only three games, when they overwhelmed Sheriff Hutton Bridge by eight wickets.
Bridge’s openers reached 49 before they were parted triggering a collapse which saw them struggle to 113-9 as Noel Collins took 4-14. Tom Shaw (48no) and Nick Johnson (37no) then steered Huntington to a winning 114-2.
Thirsk again had to travel from their unavailable home base and entertain Stamford Bridge thanks to the generosity of Huby.
Two Bridge batsmen made substantial scores with Ollie Pimlott hitting 96 and J Barnett 70. Ian Fraser chipped in with 29 before Stamford declared on 236-6 in 44 overs. Jake Petty with 3-75 was the pick of Thirsk’s attack.
Thirsk succeeded in gaining a draw thanks chiefly to Huw Williams with 54 and B Morgan who made 35. Tony Smith took 4-26 in a total of 158-8.
