Collis King grabbed the headlines when he hit his 25th premier division century and his 46th three-figure score in the Hunters estate agent York & District Senior Cricket League.
The unbeaten 150 by King was easily the best score in the top bracket and helped his side, Dunnington, to rack up 273-7 at Sessay.
Dave Johnson made 40 on his return to his former stamping ground while Johnny Andrew chipped in with 31.
There were good home knocks by Matt Till (51) and Nick Thorne (47) but former Sessay man Johnson claimed 4-58 in 17 overs and Dave Kitching (3-58) to leave the hosts hanging on at 206-9 for an unproductive draw.
Despite getting the worst of a draw at Beverley, Stamford Bridge clung on to their pole position.
Beverley’s batting ace was Ollie Grantham who struck 93. He was well supported by Jamie Mitchell (33) and Anthony Spence (38) in a total of 227.
Steve Sergeant took 3-53 for Bridge and later chipped in with 27. The more productive Stamford innings came from skipper Matt Beckett, with 55, and Will Rhodes, who made 72, but Mitchell turned into a demon with the ball and his 4-38 left Stamford short of their target at 219-6.
Fenner’s team at Clifton Alliance contained ten home-grown players with a collective average age of 22 but ran out winners by 32 runs in a low-scoring game.
Fenner’s success owed much to an opening stand of 76 between skipper Mike Cooke (43) and Phil Daniel (28).
Later runs came from Ross Davy with 33no but the bowling of Alex Renton, with 5-36 off 17 overs, and Tim Weaver (3-11) seemed to have left Clifton in command at the halfway stage as Fenner closed on 151-8.
Former New Earswick player John Hetherton then made 31 on his debut but was devoid of support as medium pacer Rich Barker (4-33) and Luke Robinson (3-41) combined to bowl the hosts out for 119.
Easingwold were given a sound start when they entertained Studley Royal as Steve Piercy (55) and Jon Marwood (65) posted an opening stand of 112.
Studley’s bowlers brought their team back into contention with Steve Walmsley claiming 5-65 and Gary Blackburn 3-37 to restrict the home side to 210-9.
The Royal pair then played useful supportive roles to the Ripon-based side’s highest scorer Rob Nicholson who made 60.
Piercy proved himself an effective all-rounder and his 5-74 was sufficient to keep his side ahead.
Second-placed York entertain third-placed Woodhouse Grange, the latter winning by six wickets.
Batsmen were in command with Simon Lambert (47), Rob Flack (45), Rich Love (54) and Matt Hodson (33no) helping York to 216-6.
In reply, Nick Hadfield made 47 and Andy Anderson 37 but the match-winner was Mick Burdett who hit a brilliant unbeaten 85 to end York’s unbeaten record.
