A QUARTET of Dunnington Cricket Club batsmen are celebrating a ton-up club record.
Collis King (133no) and Dave Johnson (108no) scored centuries for the first team against Studley Royal in the Hunters York & District Senior League premier division, while Andy Milne (106no) and Josh Tattersall (104) notched three-figure scores for the seconds against Dringhouses in division six.
Chairman Graham Freer confirmed Saturday’s four-way feat was a first for the club, who won both Senior League games on a day the thirds also beat Tadcaster Magnets in the York Vale League.
Meanwhile, Dunnington bowed out of the Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy after a 125-run loss at Bradford League champions Pudsey Congs in the quarter-finals.
Congs batted first and compiled a huge total of 336-6 and reigning Senior League champions Dunnington were then restricted to 211-9 in reply.
