SHERIFF Hutton Bridge produced a superb all-round display to topple Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League division one leaders Hull Zingari.

Visitors Bridge batted first and posted 188-5 thanks to runs from Rob Pindar (63), Paul Scaling (31), and Adam Fisher (28no).

Zingari were then skittled for only 99 by youngster Matthew Fisher (3-19) and former Staxton player Elliott Cooper (3-21).

Acomb cruised to an eight-wicket win over Pickering.

The Pikes totalled 183-7 thanks to Craig Aconley’s 66 not out and Dave Greenlay’s 34.

Simon Brown took 3-65 for Acomb, who were ushered to victory by Matt Dale (88no) and Andy Green (84no).

Harrogate are the new leaders after they got the better of a draw at home to Clifton Alliance.

Matthew Ingham (64no) led the way in Harrogate’s 254-5 with support from Ned Hammond (46) and John Proud (46), with the visitors’ Dave Friend taking 3-51.

Clifton were not far off at 231-7, with John Myers hitting 80. Rob Stanworth was the pick of the Harrogate bowling with 6-93.

Selby were promoted with Harrogate from division two last season and they joined them in the top two thanks to a win at Folkton & Flixton.

Batting first, the home side were bowled out for 178, with Neil Elvidge (62), Rob Lacey (34), and Andy Wardell (31) weighing in with the bat.

Steve Precious (4-50) and Josh Jackson (4-59) did the damage for Selby, who took only 32 overs to score 182-4. Mike Smailes (70no), and Matt Hoyle (63no) put on an unbeaten partnership of 107 to see their side home.
