ROWNTREES beat fellow division seven strugglers Carlton Towers by 65 runs.
Steve Aldous (46) and Andy Main (30) enabled Rowntrees to make 143 and Carlton were then whipped out for only 78, by Neil Davidson (5-35) and Andy Healey (3-22).
Leaders Tadcaster Magnet had a quick-fire victory at Sheriff Hutton, where the home side were tumbled out for 59 in 25.2 overs by James Kay (5-21) and skipper Adam Gibson (3-16). Trevor Hardy made 27 as Magnet won by eight wickets.
Hovingham rattled up 254-7 when they entertained Cawood, with Josh Prest hitting 97 and Alistair Thorpe 61. Matt Green took 3-30 for Cawood, who drew at 102-9 despite Guy Brewer’s 3-7 in eight overs.
Ed Noble hit 123 for Bolton Percy in a 152-run victory at Drax.
Ian Shepherd hit 57 and Kev Borwell 46 as Stillington totalled 189-7 against Civil Service.
Borwell took 4-25 to ensure a draw as Service made 141-8.
