Cawood boosted their chances of avoiding a division six relegation slot when they pulled off a shock two-run win over third-placed Welton & Brough.
James Pullein made 47 out of Cawood’s 126 all out and then claimed 4-28 as Welton were bowled out for 124. Mike Gibson backed Pullein with 5-41.
Leaders Londesborough Park strolled to a ten-wicket victory after dismissing New Earswick for 89 in 38.4 overs, with Stephen Croft taking 4-19.
Ben Lewis then hit 65 not out as his side won in 17.1 overs.
Winless Dringhouses dismissed Thorp Arch for only 86, but lost by three runs as they were all out for 83. Matt Bentley’s 37 was countered by Sam Bibby (4-19) and Rob Thrall (3-33) in the first innings.
Ed Shires then hit 35 but ’Houses swept aside by Giles Toogood (7-16).
Dunnington went second when they beat Hornsea by 37 runs.
Dunnington’s 196-9 included 58 by Josh Tattersall and 56 from Adam Brearley. Tattersall took 4-36 and brother Sam 3-38 as ten-man Hornsea were dismissed for 159.
