Driffield veteran Mick Drury hit a career-best 193 not out as his side clocked up a total of 307-2 against Huby in division four.

Together with Carl Busfield (100), Drury added 266 in a highly profitable second-wicket stand.

Having reached the second highest individual score in the division and by far the season’s highest score, he was denied the chance of a double century when his skipper declared with one over to go.

Huby tumbled to a 199-run defeat after being dismissed for 108. Jim Grieveson took 4-35 and Mark Addinall 3-28.

Pacesetters Woodhouse Grange raced to a nine-wicket win in 24.3 overs at second-placed Fenner.

The Marfleet side could only post 131-8 as veteran spinner Russ Bilton took 3-14 in 12 overs. Ben Hatfield top-scored with 49, while Dean Johnson chipped in with 25.

Grange’s reply was dominated by Mike Hattee, who made 86 not out.

Heworth’s woes continued when they crashed at home by eight wickets to Acomb II.

Will Ravenhall made 32 for Heworth but Andy Sykes (3-31) and George Sykes (3-14) had them all out for 128.

Ryan Diver (42) was one of Acomb’s two casualties before Mick Crabtree (46no) and Matt Williams (31no) clinched an easy win.

Easingwold eased their relegation worries when they chased down a home total of 199-9 at Pickering to win by eight wickets.

The Pikes’ runs came from Neil Cowton (69) and Arthur Devine (34) as Jason Sergeant claimed 3-42 and Rob Harrison 4-40.

Easingwold’s successful reply figured around a second-wicket stand of 136 between Kevin Hollinrake (61) and skipper Alan Robinson (108no).

Second-placed Sessay kept in touch with the leaders when they beat Stillington by 90 runs.

Sessay’s Matt Wass and Giles Cressey each made 33 before Liam Carver’s unbeaten 54 took their total to 198-9.

Stillington were routed for 108 by Karl Carver (4-25). Their total included 31 by Chris Browne and 25 from Jack Cartwright.
