THE Fisher brothers monopolised the run-scoring as Sheriff Hutton Bridge beat Folkton & Flixton by seven wickets in division one of the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League.

Every run off the bat for the home side was scored by one of the Fishers, Mark Fisher leading the way with a maiden league century.

Bridge started badly as they chased down Folkton’s 190-9, slipping to 29-3 in the face of Mike Hunter’s 3-46. The score included two ducks and two runs by 13-year-old Matthew Fisher.

Matthew’s two elder brothers then put together an unbroken match-winning stand of 162, with Adam closing on 75 not out and Mark reaching 100 not out.

Earlier, Chris Malthouse hit 66 for Flixton, while Jamie Hopper took 6-61 in 16 overs and Elliott Cooper took 3-62.

Leaders Selby beat promotion rivals Harrogate by four wickets.

Openers John Proud (64) and George Owram (69) put on 115 in ’Gate’s 203-7. Josh Jackson took 3-59 for Selby.

Matthew Hoyle steered Selby to victory with an unbeaten 83, while teenager Tom Collins hit 41.

Acomb stayed second after recovering from 68-4 to overtake Bridlington’s 171-9 to win by six wickets. Brid’s top scorer was Sam Edmondson with 52, while Joe Dale took 4-40.

Will Hall (3-38) made inroads into the home batting line-up, but Scott Nicholls (60no) and Joey Burton (52no) took Acomb to victory.

Hornsea slipped from tenth to bottom when they were outgunned by Pickering all-rounder Dave Greenlay.

Hornsea made 199-7, with Greenlay bowling throughout to take 5-74 in 24 overs.

Colin Frank (57no) and Greenlay (78no) saw the Pikes to an eight-wicket win.

Clifton Alliance climbed off the bottom with a solid six-wicket win over Driffield II. Driffield were all out for 194 thanks to Reece Crowe’s 6-56 and John Myers’ 3-37. Myers hit 66 and John Hetherton’s 55 not out saw Alliance home.

Division two’s bottom two sides met at St Helen’s Road, with a seven-wicket win lifting hosts Dringhouses above Osbaldwick.

’Houses’ first win of the season was set up by Mick Kenyon, whose 5-19 in 16 overs had Osso all out for 125. Sam Lingard took 3-30.

Dan Snaith (37no) and Ian Wilson (45no) saw the home side through.

Malton and Old Malton won at Bolton Percy to move into second.

Bolton’s Matt Westwood hit 82 not out in a home total of 186-9, while Danny Foxton took 5-34.

Foxton made an unbeaten 40 as he and Mike Linsley (91no) took Malton from 98-4 to a six-wicket win. Ali Rigby took 4-20.

Having started the season well, Tadcaster’s fortunes have taken a downward turn and they are now tenth after losing heavily at home to York III.

For the Brewers, Steve Houther made 34 and Rib Hill 27, but Rich Lindsay’s 3-11 had them all out for a below par 120.

Kyle Waite then made 47 and G Clemminson an unbeaten 40 as York won by eight wickets.
