DIVISION four leaders Woodhouse Grange cruised to an eight-wicket win when they entertained Acomb.
Paul Grewer bowled a mean 12-over spell to claim 3-12 while Russ Bilton took 3-40 as Acomb were dismissed for 136.
Andy Sykes, batting at number nine, hit an unbeaten 40 to give Acomb’s innings a small amount of respectability.
Grange seemed to be heading for a ten-wicket win as Jonathon Bean and Mike Hattee moved to within three of the target.
After sharing a 134-run stand, both were dismissed in quick succession with Bean falling for 61 and Hattee for 60.
Stillington’s Kev Borwell (56) was top-bat when his side had the better of a draw with Easingwold.
Stillington reached 219 all out, with Rob Harrison taking 3-46 and Jason Sergeant 3-51. Harrison then top-scored with 43 in Easingwold’s reply of 168-8.
Bottom-placed Heworth had the better of a draw at promotion hopefuls Fenner thanks to a whirlwind innings by Nadeem Sadiq, who hit 125 off only 91 deliveries in a total of 247-9.
Heworth’s best bowler was Mark Bell, who claimed 3-28, as Fenner closed on 178-8.
The league’s two one-team clubs clashed at Huby, where the home side gained a 53-run victory over Bubwith.
Top scorer for Huby was Mike South with 51, while Darren Howell made 35 and Dan Grainger contributed 43 to a total of 224-6. Grainger continued to trouble the visitors as he captured 5-46.
With Hugh Sheddon claiming 3-42, Bubwith were bowled out for 171, with Gary Wilson (44) and Neil Readman (35) being the pick of the batting.
