At Heworth, Jonathon Draper dominated the home innings against lowly Londesbrough Park to the extent that he had made an unbeaten 69 out of 91-2 when the division five game was called off after 24 overs.
In the slowest run-crawl so far this season, Bolton Percy had struggled to 23-3 in 29.5 overs at Hornsea, whose Iain Wilson had bagged all three wickets for a cost of 12 runs.
Fortunately for the visitors the weather then rode to their rescue.
