FORMER Yorkshire cricket captain David Byas completed the Flora London Marathon in four hours, one minute and 58 seconds.
Byas, 43, was running the course for the first-ever time and finished ahead of the likes of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and England rugby star Matt Dawson.
He was competing for the 50-strong Lord Taverners marathon team, who raised £75,000 for the youth sports charity.
Byas led Yorkshire to their first county championship for 33 years back in 2001 but stood down from his director of cricket role this summer.
He now serves as an umpire coach for the ECB - one of a four-strong team who assess the game's officials at the highest level.
