LUNCH UPDATE: A disappointing batting performance from Yorkshire has seen Somerset hit back on the morning session of day two in the LV= County Championship.
Hopes were high of the Tykes reaching 500 in their first-innings when they resumed on 296-4, but by the interval a combination of good bowling and poor shots has seen them restricted to 395-9.
The mini-collapse started early, with Anthony McGrath out in the 14th ball of the session – when, without adding to his overnight score of 73, he edged to Peter Trego at gully off Ben Phillips.
Somerset were soon celebrating again as well, with Alfonso Thomas then removing nightwatchmen Steven Patterson for a well made 25 to leave the Tykes on 339-6.
Then Murali Kartik, on his debut, picked up his first wickets for the hosts to remove Adil Rashid for one and Jonathan Bairstow for 17 to really put Yorkshire on the back foot.
Fortunately, an entertaining 15 from Tino Best and then an unbroken last-wicket partnership of 36 between David Wainwright and Oliver Hannon-Dalby has halted their demise.
At lunch Wainwright was on 30, with Hannon-Dalby unbeaten on two.
