Yorkshire have made two key breakthroughs with the ball during the afternoon session on day two of their LV= County Championship clash with Somerset.
After finally being bowled out for 405, when David Wainwright found Ben Phillips at mid-on off Murali Kartik for 39, their attack have removed former England opener Marcus Trescothick and Nick Compton to leave the hosts on 87-2 at tea.
The wicket of Trescothick, who made 117 at Headingley earlier this season in the Championship, is particularly important after he had raced to 39 in the Taunton sunshine.
His innings was ended by Oliver Hannon-Dalby though, who trapped him lbw to leave Somerset on 51-1 after 12.5 overs.
Steven Patterson then ousted Compton for just five, when he was brilliantly caught by Jonathan Bairstow behind the wicket to continue the Tykes good start in the field.
At the interval the unbeaten men at the crease are Arul Suppiah on 24 and Zander de Bruyn, who has made 15.
It means Somerset still trail Yorkshire by 318 runs with eight first-innings wickets left on day two in the west country.
