Yorkshire did not show the intent they were expected to in the afternoon session of day two against Hampshire at the Rose Bowl today.
The White Rose county returned after lunch on 411-4, and have been bowled for 532 on the stroke of tea.
But they could have attempted to get to that score a good half an hour sooner than they did.
Anthony McGrath for 115, Gerard Brophy for 53, Adil Rashid for 38, Rich Pyrah, Ajmal Shahzad and David Wainwright all departed as South Africa leg-spinner Imran Tahir finished with 6-132 from 49.2 overs.
117.2 overs of the 171.2 overs that Hampshire bowled were bowled by spinners.
Left-armer Danny Briggs finished with 2-127 from 51 overs.
