MICHAEL Vaughan has signed a new rolling contract with Yorkshire County Cricket Club which will become effective once his central contract with England comes to an end.
The England skipper, who is recovering from a knee injury, said: "I have played for Yorkshire since the age of 16, and am delighted to be signing a new contract which gives me the flexibility to remain with the county while ever I can play first class cricket."
Chief Executive Stewart Regan said: "Yorkshire fully support Michael's efforts to return to first class cricket following surgery on his knee earlier this year.
"He is determined to be fit as soon as possible, and is very focused on what needs to be done to make this happen.
"We fully expect Michael to recover from his operation, and are putting our faith in him with a new contract which will kick in once he leaves the England team.
"We look forward to having him at Yorkshire for the rest of his first-class career."
