SIMON Dyson has crashed out at the half-way stage of the European Tour's Qatar Masters.
The 29-year-old golf ace could only card a two-over-par 74 in his second round at the event, at Doha Golf Club, to follow his opening round 75.
That left the Malton and Norton GC star (pictured) on a total of five-over-par - missing the projected cut of -1 by some six shots.
Dyson birdied the second but bogeyed the eleventh for the second consecutive day. He also dropped shots at thirteen and eighteen.
He is due to be in action next week at the Dubai Desert Classic, in the United Arab Emirates.
South Africa's Retief Goosen leads the way in the $2 million event after carding a second round 68 to his opening 65 for a 11-under par total at the mid-way point.
Britain's nearest challenger is 1999 Open winner Paul Lawrie, who is at eight under.
