York Cricket Club will be hoping to advance their ECB Yorkshire County Premier League position when they visit the Yorkshire Academy tomorrow without pace ace Nick Thornicroft.
Colin Palmer will play instead of Thornicroft, who is away in Sussex on Yorkshire Seconds' two-match southern tour.
The Academy is also hit by this arrangement as five of their players are included. However, Richard Blakey will lead the batting and St Peter's School player Jonny Bairstow son of the late Tykes' great, David Bairstow will keep wicket and bat middle order.
York's main challenge will likely come from Adil Rashid. He scored 174 against Durham Academy last Wednesday and is also a serious leg-spin prospect.
The Academy share their matches between Headingley and the Leeds University Weetwood ground and the latter, a venue to rank with any in the county, will stage the fixture.
