AUSTRALIAN ace Dan Wilson revelled in an all-round display he will not forget in a hurry to steer York Cricket Club into the final of the Solly Sports Yorkshire League Knock-Out Cup.

Wilson flayed the Doncaster Town attack for 105 from 102 deliveries to dominate York’s imposing 50-over total of 257-8 and then wrecked the visitors’ reply with an impressive 4-20 haul.

York elected to bat and, although Duncan Snell fell to Andrew Parkin-Coates for 12, Wilson was joined by Mason and they added 53 runs in only 35 minutes before Mason was caught.

Once Liam McKendry perished cheaply, Alex Collins joined Wilson and they added 95 runs in 65 minutes.

Collins went on to make 32, as did Nick Kay, with useful late-order runs from Tom Bartram and Tom Pringle.

When Doncaster replied they were toiling at 20-2 with one wicket each for Bartram and McKendry.

Matthew Hodsdon bowled seven overs tidily, at a cost of 19 runs.

The only significant innings was played by Alex Gosney who made 60, and Chris Spinella with 28.

But Wilson chipped in with his four-wicket tally to reduce Doncaster’s final score to 171-9 in 43 overs and triumph by 86 runs and clinch a place in the final.
