Yorkshire batsman Anthony McGrath hit a century for the Tykes’ Academy side against Castleford in the Solly Sports Yorkshire ECB County Premier League.
McGrath, dropped from the t20 side last week as he battled for form after injury, hit ten fours and four sixes in his 127-ball knock but was outdone by county team-mate David Wainwright.
Spinner Wainwright, who had joined Derbyshire on loan for a month, spearheaded Castleford’s five-wicket win with figures of 5-59 and an unbeaten 101 with the bat.
Heworth batsman Jack Leaning had earlier made 41 in the Academy’s total of 207-7.
