YORK Cricket Club’s bid to see off Doncaster Town was blighted by a wash-out of their home Solly Sports Yorkshire ECB County Premier League fixture.
But there was some good news on the league front with leaders Rotherham Town losing at Driffield, one of only two matches to beat the Saturday deluge.
Meanwhile, only four matches survived to a conclusion in the HPH York Vale League as the June rains struck again to savage the Saturday schedule.
• A full report of York CC’s ECB National Club championship group one final at home to Blaydon yesterday will appear in The Press tomorrow.
