King William’s 6-3 win at Enterprise saw them go five points clear at the top of Ian’s Cars of Barlby Sunday Morning League division one.

Luke Hall opened the scoring for King in the second minute and George Bissett and Nathan Kamara also bagged goals, sandwiched by two strikes in reply by Carl Stewart, for a 3-2 half-time scoreline.

Prolific scorer Danny Gray’s double made it 5-2 and, although Enterprise kept going and responded again through James Shimmin, Gray sealed victory for the table-toppers with his hat-trick strike.

Second-placed Acomb Celtic lost 6-5 at home to Station.

Steve Lyon hit a hat-trick for the visitors, followed by a brace from Will Ramsey and a Brett Collier strike. Celtic replied with a treble from Lee Powell plus efforts from Mark Benton and Tom Woofe.

Severus eased their relegation fears with a surprise 4-3 win over third-placed Wigginton Grasshoppers.

Hoppers raced 2-0 up through a Michael Clancey free-kick and a Lee McQuade goal but Nick Hutchinson halved the deficit.

The hosts began to dominate after the break and soon equalised through Dave Watson. McQuade restored Hoppers’ lead but Mark Woodward levelled and Hutchinson hit Severus’s winner from the spot ten minutes from time.

Dunnington, with goals from Matty Playle, Rob Hart and Matty Wain, beat Hounds 3-1, whose reply came from Sean Bugg.

Derwent United, with a brace from Kingsley Daffern plus strikes for Dean Nuttall, Dave Bradshaw and Dan Fog, beat York Nomads 5-0 to go five points clear at the top of division two.

Hambleton, who lost their 100 per cent record to the table-toppers last week, fell further adrift when losing 4-3 at home to local rivals Bubwith Nomads.

Matty Jamieson, Jake Marshall, Guy May and Craig Hodgson, with a penalty, netted for Nomads, with Andy Sills, Rich McDermott and Nigel Croad responding.

Hemingbrough, with a second-half brace from Neil Darley, edged Haxby Lions 2-1 to claim their first points of the season. Steve Martin scored for Lions.

Beeswing and Marcia Grey drew 3-3.

Mark Triffitt’s double and veteran Mark Burton’s strike put Wing 3-1 up, Steve Pickup having levelled for Marcia.

Nick McBride pulled one back before the break and, after a second half which brought chances for both sides, Pickup scrambled home a late equaliser.

Leeman United drew 2-2 with York Medics, both their goals coming from James Barrett.

Albion Vaults are now just a point behind table-toppers Huntington Rovers in division three after a 3-2 win over visitors Bishopthorpe United.

Chris Coxon and Danny Hewitt gave Vaults a 2-1 lead at half-time and, following an equaliser, Tom Hogg gave them the points with a spectacular 40-yard lob.

York Five Lions keep the pressure on the top two after battering Selby Olympia 11-2.

Hitting the target were Sean Stockdale (4), Luke Laverack (3), Will Moore (3) and Shawn Webster.

Bubwith White Swan were comfortable 5-1 winners over York RI thanks to goals from Simon Houlder (2), Scott Jackson, Wes Pears and Andy Woodall, Connor Gothard replying.

NUR are the new leaders in division four after beating basement side York Phoenix 8-2.

Danny Cotton found the net four times, Matty Rockett (2), Jordan Burnitt and Paul Fletcher also netting. Bailey Simpson and Joshua Young got the consolation goals.

Tadcaster Magnets, who have yet to drop a point this season, beat Drax 6-0 with goals from Jon Darnton, Sam Farthing, Tom Lendhill, Ben Wilson, Kingsley Wetherald and Tom Deighton.

Selby Railway beat F3 1-0 with a first-half goal from John Teale.

A strike by Jon Alexander saw Eggborough Rangers snatch a point in a 1-1 draw with New Earswick.
