WATERLOGGED pitches kept North Yorkshire duo Pickering Town and Selby Town sidelined in the Northern Counties East League.
Premier division Pickering saw their clash with Staveley postponed at Mill Lane. The Pikes will now be hoping their North Riding Senior Cup quarter-final against Grangetown Boys Club at Thornaby goes ahead on Wednesday (7.45pm).
Selby’s trip to Cleethorpes was also off and they will be eager for action in tomorrow’s game at home to Pontefract Collieries.
Top flight leaders Scarborough Athletic were held to a 2-2 draw at Liversedge. The visitors’ scorers were Tom Adams and Jimmy Beadle.
Tadcaster Albion, without a game in the premier divison, host Glasshoughton tomorrow (7.45pm).
Harrogate Town, who play Corby Town at York’s Bootham Crescent ground tomorrow (7.45pm), saw their game with Guiseley called off.
A last-minute goal from Jesus Samuel Martin-Farina gave Harrogate Railway a 1-0 win at Burscough in Evo-Stik League division one north.
