Tadcaster Albion’s task will be to bounce back from defeat when they face Lincoln Moorlands in the NCEL top-flight tomorrow, writes Mark Smith.

Manager Paul Marshall is confident they can atone for the midweek loss to Nostell Miners Welfare.

“We’ve got a full choice of players back who were out the other day, apart from Ryan Williams who has decided to call it a day at the club,” said Marshall.

“It’s going to be a tough game on a poor pitch. If we can’t pass it well we won’t win, that’s how it is in this league.”

The Albion boss stressed it was important to have different tactics and diverse playing styles, adding: “We’ve got to learn to win in more than one way in this league.”

On the 2-1 reverse to Nostell, the Brewers’ boss said: “It was a lack of experience for us.

“We lost our discipline and started to get irate at the referee, but we should have been in front at half-time.

“I’ve got to give Nostell credit for their performance. They were professional and wasted time when they needed to.”

The Albion manager believed his men deserved something from the game, despite being hampered by a depleted line-up.

He said: “We still should have won even though we had six players absent. We gave debuts to two new lads who performed really well.

“That gives me some tough decisions to make for the next game.”

Meanwhile, Tadcaster face Winterton Rangers in the NCEL League Cup third round on February 27.

Boss Marshall will be without two key players for the encounter as both Kyle Hawthorne and Scott McGrory are cup-tied.
