HISTORY was created by Pickering Town when they lifted the North Riding Senior Cup for the first time.
The Pikes beat Markse United 3-0 in front of a near-500 strong attendance at Stokesley FC to the delight of chairman Keith Usher. “It’s crowned a great season under manager Jimmy Reid,” he said.
The Northern Counties East League premier division side’s goals were shared by ex-York City trainee Liam Shepherd, Liam Salt, from a penalty, and Joe Danby.
